Qualifications:

Construction Foreman

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work in a multiple-project construction environment
  • Ability to read and understand plans
  • Technical understanding of residential construction including building codes, trade sequencing, and best building practices
  • Capable of problem solving and experience with complex detailed projects
  • Work with subcontractors, suppliers, city inspectors, organize and direct workers respectfully

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day construction field activities to ensure that project milestone dates and overall schedule completion dates are met.
  • Work directly with job investors at times and maintain a professional and client facing attitude
  • Monitor and control project through managing the construction schedule and directing subcontractors and suppliers to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget
  • Maintain as strong a relationship as possible with local municipalities for potential future business
  • Must have reliable transportation

Veteran owned General Contracting company searching for a few construction laborers to learn what it entails to be a General Contractor. Working as a general contractor can be a fulfilling and rewarding career. As a general contractor, you would be responsible for overseeing all aspects of a construction project from start to finish. Your main duties would include hiring and training subcontractors, applying for the necessary licenses and building permits, and providing hands-on supervision and guidance to workers on job sites.

If you are interested in pursuing a career as a general contractor, you should have excellent communication skills, time management and scheduling skills, and a focused commitment to safety. Working with us, you could gain experience in construction management, including knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and other skilled trades.

  • Full or part-time, Monday to Friday only.
